This settings are required to establish a network access to your DVR.
1.) In the “Address” field, enter the external IP address of your DVR. You can also enter the internal IP address of your DVR. However, please note that access via Internet is not possible in this case.
2.) If your DVR is located behind a router, you need to enter the external ip address of your router instead. In addition you need to setup a portforwarding rule to the local ip address of your DVR in your router.
.3.) Ensure that either a fixed IP address is used or a hostname which you can setup for free through ABUS-Server at www.abus-server.com.
4.) In the “Port” field, enter the external DVR port which you have set on the router for the DVR. Ensure that this port on the router is forwarded to the internal network address of the DVR.
1.) Check whether the external network address of your router is available.
2.) Usually, the external network address of your router changes at each dial-in attempt. We therefore recommend establishing permanent availability using ABUS-Server which you can setup for free at www.abus-server.com.
3.) Check whether the current external network address of your router matches the ip adress of your hostnname account.
4.) Check the network settings on your Apple device. For internal access, you must be connected to the WiFi network of your router in which the DVR is also available. For external access, you must have enabled 3G network on your device.
5.) Check the availability of the DVR in your network.
6.) Please check you portforwarding rule in your router. A DVR Port must be opened for external access which is forwarded to the internal address of your DVR. If you DVR is registered by ABUS-Server you can do a port check at www.abus-server.com.
1.) Check the DVR port of your ABUS recorder. This port must be accessible from Internet in order to have remote access to your DVR. By default the DVR port is configured to 8000.
2.) Setup a port forwarding rule for your DVR port in your router. Depending on the router model, the terms in the interface configuration will vary (firewall rule, port forwarding, rules, releases).
3.) Make sure the DVR port has a external port forwarding to the internal ip address and port of your DVR.
Example:
Forwarding from external port 8000 to network address 192.168.0.50 on port 8000.
