  8. Do I have to pay extra to download video content?

No. All of the content in iVideo is free.

  9. Will iVideo use up my cellular data plan?

It is true that video delivery can consume large amounts of data. Many people have unlimited data plans, so they don't have to worry about additional costs from their wireless carrier. To help those who need to manage their data consumption, iVideo checks your internet connection every time you launch it, and if you aren't using a WiFi connection it suggests you do so. Using WiFi is not required, but it is faster, and may save you data charges from your wireless carrier, depending on your plan. Please note that your wireless charges are your responsibility. iVideo is not responsible for any of these charges under any circumstances.

  10. How fast is iVideo?
When should I download instead of playing a show from the internet?

iVideo works best over a WiFi connection. You'll have faster downloads, and playing a video without downloading will likely be seamless. With 3G or EDGE cellular data connections downloads will be slower, and you must download a show first, before playing it. After downloading, the file is stored locally on your iPhone/iTouch, so playback will be seamless. And you can watch the downloaded show as often as you want - even without an internet connection.

  11. How do I get the latest content?

iVideo will update the categories and series from the internet every two days automatically, when you launch the application. When you select a series from the Series View, it will update the shows for that series automatically. For more frequent updates, tap the refresh button at the top right of the Series View or the Shows View.

  12. What does "subscribe" mean?
How do I subscribe to a Series?

When you subscribe to a series, new shows added in the future will be automatically downloaded. This all happens in the background - you don't need to do anything. To subscribe to a series, tap the Subscribe button near the series' image. This button is available in most views. If you want to review your subscriptions or the progress of your downloads, or delete some of them, go to the Downloads View.

  13. How do I play a show?

In any view where a list of shows is displayed (Shows/Favorites/Downloads/Search), tap a row to select a show and then tap the play button (right arrow) on the bottom toolbar. For devices using cellular connections and for all OS 3.0.x devices, shows will be downloaded first before playing. This is to avoid the choppy start-stop playback experience that result from these slower connection speeds. Downloaded shows play locally without accessing the internet. If a show was not previously downloaded there may be a slight delay before it begins playing. We recommend you upgrade to OS 3.1 or higher to enable streaming over WiFi. Streaming means that a show is played directly from the internet and is not stored locally. Shows that are streamed access the internet for their content every time they are played. For help with the player controls, please review the Movie Player View section.

  14. How do I download shows to save them on my iPhone/iTouch?

In any view where a list of shows is displayed (Shows/Favorites/Downloads/Search), tap a row to select a show and then tap the download button (down arrow) on the bottom toolbar. You will be asked if you want to download the selected show or subscribe to the series.

  15. How do I get to the Downloads View to see my subscriptions and downloads?

Tap the download button (down arrow) on the bottom toolbar. If you are in a view where a list of Shows is displayed (Shows/Favorites/Downloads/Search), you must make sure you do not have a show selected first. You can do this by tapping any row to select it, and then tapping again to de-select it. Do this before tapping the download button on the bottom toolbar.

  16. How do I create a new favorite?

In any view where a list of shows is displayed (Shows/Favorites/Downloads/Search), tap a row to select a show and then tap the favorites button (heart icon) on the bottom toolbar. You will be asked if you want to make the series, or just the selected show, a favorite.

  17. How do I get to the Favorites View?

Tap the favorites button (heart icon) on the bottom toolbar. If you are in a view where a list of Shows is displayed (Shows/Favorites/Downloads/Search), you must make sure you do not have a show selected first. You can do this by tapping any row to select it, and then tapping again to de-select it. Do this before tapping the favorites button on the bottom toolbar.

  18. How do I play videos that aren't in iVideo's library?

You can play any video content on the internet that is compatible with the built-in Media Player, by storing links to videos in the My Links section of the Favorites view. We suggest copying the address from your Safari browser to eliminate errors, then launching iVideo and saving the url. To save an address in iVideo, go to the Favorite view, tap on the My Links button near the top, and tap the Edit button on the top right. Then enter, or paste, your link's address into the "Add link address" field, and type a description into the "Add link description" field. Tap the green Save button and your link will be added to the list below. Tap the Done button on the top right to exit Edit mode. You can then tap any of your My Links to view the content. Any compatible video will play. You can also use My Links to access audio files, web pages, or other internet content.

  19. How do I send a message to a friend about iVideo or its video content?

Tap the message button (envelope icon) on the bottom toolbar, and then tap the Email button from the Select Sharing Method display that follows. A Send Message View will display with content from what was previously selected - a show, a series, or nothing. Type in an email address, or select contacts from your address book, and press send - it's that easy! Your message will include links for your friends to play the show, or review the series you previously selected.

  20. Can I share iVideo's content with my friends on Facebook or Twitter?

Of course! Tap the message button (envelope icon) on the bottom toolbar, and then tap either the Facebook button or the Email button from the Select Sharing Method display that follows. Using the Facebook Views or Twitter Views, you can then log into your account, if you have not done that already. Your post will display with content from what was previously selected - a show, a series, or nothing. You can send the post as it is, or edit it before posting. Your post will include links for your friends to play the show, or review the series you previously selected.

  21. When I turn my iPhone/iTouch, iVideo displays sideways - Why?

Every view in iVideo is designed to do this, except the movie player, which is always in the sideways, or landscape, mode. You can use iVideo in whichever orientation you prefer, and it will adjust automatically when you rotate the iPhone/iTouch.

  22. Are there any known issues with iVideo?

Very few. Here are the ones we know about in this release...

    • On rare occasions, a show will not play directly from the internet or download, or you might get a message that says the series has no shows available. From time to time, the content publishers stop their video feeds for maintenance purposes, making them unavailable. In rare cases, a publisher may cancel or delete their feed. Please try again later.

    • For a very small number of shows, when trying to play them you may get a message that the server is not configured properly, or that the show cannot be played. While iVideo has pre-filtered the video content for iPhone/iTouch compatibility, sometimes the content publishers feed us invalid content or have server configuration issues that we cannot resolve.

  23. Where can I report a bug or suggest an improvement?

Before reporting an issue, please be sure that you are using the latest version of iVideo. Often, issues can be resolved by simply deleting the application, rebooting your device, and re-installing a fresh copy of iVideo from the App Store. Please try this first before contacting iVideoSupport@ZETZmobile.com with a full description of the issue. You will not have to pay to download iVideo again.
