3. Start the Air Cam app on your iOS device.  Select a connection option connect.

Connection Options

Air Cam provides you with a variety of connection options based on your current network setup.

Local Connection

If you are using Air Cam locally at home (for instance, as a baby-monitor to view the scene from another room), you can connect your iOS device to your home wireless network using Wi-Fi. The Air Cam app on your iOS device will automatically detect your host computer running Air Cam and present you with a Bonjour connection option. Simply select the Bonjour option to connect.

Remote Automatic Connection

(Only available in full version of Air Cam.)

If you are using Air Cam away from home, you can access the video feed using 3G, Edge, or a Wi-Fi hotspot. This version of Air Cam can perform remote automatic connection. Automatic connection works by matching your access information (email and password) that you entered on your host computer and your iOS device. When a match is located, Air Cam will present you with a Remote Zero-Configuration option. Select this option to connect.

Air Cam uses UPNP to automatically configure your home route to allow remote access. Please make sure your router has UPNP turned on. Please visit the following page for detail.

Remote Access Email and Password

(Only available in full version of Air Cam.)

If Remote Zero-Configuration option does not show on your iOS device, please make sure the user email and password entered into Air Cam on your iOS device match your computer. You can reset the email and password on the computer by clicking the Options button and select Remote Access.

On iOS device, select Specify Access Information to enter the same email and password.

Automatic connection works with 90% of the home network routers. If it does not work for you, it is likely that you are using a router that does not support it. In this case, you can still use Air Cam's manual connection option with port forwarding.

Remote IP Connection

(Only available in full version of Air Cam.)

Air Cam can connect to your host computer using an IP address you specify.
